synopsis

Humble sportscaster/plane crash survivor joins forces with ultra-competitive CEO in the world's most grueling endurance race. Driven by their shared convictions, they cycle 3,000+ miles nonstop, battling opponents, extreme terrain/weather, inner demons and occasionally each other.

Jerry schemmel

Jerry Schemmel begins his 7th season, in 2016, as a radio play-by-play announcer for Colorado Rockies. He teams with Jack Corrigan on the Rockies flagship station, 850 KOA, as well as the rest of the 43-station Colorado Rockies Radio Network. Prior to the Rockies, Schemmel spent 20 years as a play-by-play broadcaster in the NBA, for the Minnesota Timberwolves, then 18 with the Denver Nuggets. He was also the radio voice of the Colorado State Rams in 2009-2010. A former triathlete, Schemmel has a long history of ultra-distance-cycling, both competitively and on behalf of charity fundraisers, including two solo, transcontinental rides, in 2004 and 2005. He is also national motivational speaker. Schemmel is the author of the book, “Chosen To Live”, which chronicles his survival of United Airlines Flight 232, which crashed in Sioux City, IA in 1989. brad cooper

Brad Cooper is CEO of US Corporate Wellness, the Co-Founder of Catalyst Coaching Institute and the inventor of Aerobar Edge triathlon training device, which will be utilized at RAAM. He is the author of 4 books, has been a national columnist for the APTA since 2000 & a frequent speaker at conferences nationally. Brad is a native of Colorado and completed his undergraduate work at Colorado State University. He holds Masters Degrees in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine and in Business from the University of Colorado, as well as multiple certifications. Brad is a nine-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, including three times at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship. He is a consistent USA Triathlon All-American and one of the top masters runners in the region.
